Sharp Notes Monday: ‘If Six Was Nine’

While our Sharp Notes, Sharp Thoughts music and social media project was on hiatus for the summer, we shared a song every Monday to start your week. We’ve decided to make Sharp Notes Monday a permanent feature.

Today is the first Monday of October, which means the Supreme Court is starting a new term.

During the new term, the high court will tackle affirmative action, voting, religion, free speech, gay rights and other issues.

The court has a six-justice conservative majority, so legal experts are predicting a series of 6-3 decisions. But what if the make-up of the court were different? Jimi Hendrix has a song for that.
