While our Sharp Notes, Sharp Thoughts music and social media project was on hiatus for the summer, we shared a song every Monday to start your week. We’ve decided to make Sharp Notes Monday a permanent feature.

On Thursday, after just 45 days as Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Liz Truss resigned as leader of the Conservative Party and announced she would resign as prime minister after a successor as party leader is chosen.
Today, Rishi Sunak was chosen as her successor as leader of the party. He is expected to succeed Truss as prime minister tomorrow, making her the shortest-serving prime minister in the history of the United Kingdom.
Daryl Hall and John Oates wrote “She’s Gone” about romantic relationships, but with change underway in the UK, the song seems like a an appropriate selection for this week’s Sharp Notes Monday.
