Students in a Media and Democracy class at St. Bonaventure University are predicting a Nick Langworthy victory in Tuesday’s Republican primary for the Congressional District 23, which includes the university.
The primary race was one of the topics the students studied in the course, which was taught over the summer at Trinity College, Oxford University.
Six of the eight students in the class predicted that Langworthy will defeat Carl Paladino in the primary. The predicted margins of victory ranged from 14 percentage points to four.
Two students predicted a Paladino victory, one by 12 points, the other by four.
The winner of Tuesday’s GOP primary will face Democrat Max Della Pia in the November general election.
