More cameras means better coverage. The best photographer I’ve ever worked with always stresses that video is half the story.

Using seven cameras means viewers can get a better feel for the hearing; they can see how people act; they almost feel as if they’re there. Also, more cameras means more shots to show viewers.

Hearings are long. They can get tiring. Viewers can get bored cycling through the same three shots. But this hearing is far too important for that. Regardless of your political views, you need to know about this hearing. The president might be impeached. This matters. So anything C-SPAN can do to make people care is worth a shot (or seven).
