Sharp Notes Monday: ‘The Party’s Over’

The 2024 Summer Olympic Games lasted less than three weeks, but years of work were required to plan and execute the logistics for the massive international events.

And the athletes worked most of their lives to reach the pinnacle of their sport, where they experienced moments of triumph, as well as and defeat, that will remain etched in their memories forever.

As the legendary Willie Nelson wrote in the mid-1950s:

Turn out the lights
The party’s over
They say that all
Good things must end
